Mahaveer College of Ayurvedic Science (MCAS), Rajnandgaon is a premier private institution dedicated to the preservation and promotion of ancient Indian medicine, located in Village Sundra on G.E. Road, Rajnandgaon district of Chhattisgarh. The college is affiliated to Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Memorial Health Science & Ayush University of Chhattisgarh, established under Chhattisgarh Government Act No. 21/2008, with Dr. Ashok Kumar Chandrakar as Vice-Chancellor. MCAS is approved by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM), Ministry of Ayush, Government of India. The institution is recognized for its state-of-the-art infrastructure with a built-up area of more than 5 lakh sq.ft., a 100-bed multispecialty Ayurvedic hospital, and significant contribution to rural healthcare in the region. MCAS follows a well-defined organizational structure with separate messages and guidance from its Dean, Chairman, Secretary, Medical Superintendent, and a panel of Directors, reflecting strong institutional governance. The college offers undergraduate education through the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) programme with an intake of 60 seats per year, along with postgraduate specializations in MD Ayurveda (Rognidan Evam Vikriti Vigyan and Kaumarbhritya-Balroga) and MS Ayurveda (Shalya Tantra and Prasuti Tantra Evam Stri Roga), each with 4 seats. Admission to all programmes is based on NEET-UG (for BAMS) or AIAPGET (for MD/MS) scores through Chhattisgarh Ayush Counselling, conducted by the Directorate of AYUSH, Government of Chhattisgarh at cgayush.admissions.nic.in. The college maintains 14 dedicated academic departments covering all major branches of Ayurveda including Sanskrit Samhita and Siddhanta, Rachana-Sharir, Kriya Sharir, Rasashastra Evam Bhaisajya Kalpana Vigyana, Dravyaguna Vigyana, Rog Nidan Evam Vikriti Vigyana, Agad Tantra Evam Vidhi Vaidyaka, Kaumarbhritya, Swasthavritta & Yoga, Prasuti Tantra Evam Stri Roga, Kaya Chikitsa, Shalya Tantra, Shalakya Tantra, and Panchakarma.
