About Malabar Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, Kozhikode
Malabar Medical College Hospital and Research Centre (MMC Kozhikode), established in 2010 and managed by Sree Anjaneya Medical Trust, holds the distinction of being the first private medical college in Kerala to begin with 150 MBBS seats from inception. Affiliated with Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS) and approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC), MMC's intake was expanded to 200 MBBS seats from AY 2022-23. The 32-acre, eco-friendly campus is located in Modakkallur, Ulliyeri, about 20 km from Kozhikode city, surrounded by lush greenery. The attached Malabar Medical College Hospital is a 890-bed tertiary care teaching hospital serving Calicut, Kannur, and Wayanad districts. Faculty are primarily retired or voluntarily retired doctors from Government Medical College, Kozhikode, lending the institution exceptional academic credentials.
