About Mamata Medical College
Mamata Medical College (MMC), Khammam, established in 1998 by the Mamata Educational Society (Sri Puvvada Nageswara Rao), holds the proud distinction of being the first private, self-funded medical college to earn recognition from the Medical Council of India (MCI) in the state of Telangana. Located at Rotary Nagar, Mamata Road, Khammam — 5.2 km from Khammam Railway Station, 4.5 km from Central Bus Stand, and 136 km from Hyderabad airport — the 40-acre campus has a total built-up area of 90,935 sq. m. encompassing the college building and hospital. The college building has 4 floors with individual departments, 5 gallery-style lecture halls (180 × 2, 350 × 1, 200 × 1, 150 × 1 at hospital), separate boys and girls common rooms, undergraduate, internee, postgraduate, and NRI hostels (AC and non-AC). MMC Khammam is NAAC Grade 'A' accredited and offers 150 MBBS seats, 98 PG MD/MS seats in 20 departments, and Super Specialty DM/MCh courses. The Central Library is 29,428 sq. ft. (AC), with 17,000 books and subscriptions for 78 Indian and 51 foreign journals. The hospital serves 40,000+ outpatients and 2,900+ admissions monthly, and conducts 3,000+ major and minor surgeries per month. Ranked #3 in Telangana by Careeredwise. During NEET 2021–2024, 30 SS candidates received allotment. Placement: highest ₹9 LPA; 88 students placed (of 110 offers, 27 companies visited).
