Admission Process Overview

Below is the complete admission information including eligible exams, eligibility criteria, admission process, and important notes for each program offered.

Required Entrance Exams

CAT / XAT / valid GMAT score (PGDM Residential and Online); CUET or MDIM institute-level test (BBA); CAT/XAT/GMAT/GRE/UGC-JRF/GATE or MDIM Research Aptitude Test (FPM)

Eligibility Criteria
PGDM: Bachelor's degree (min. 3 years) with 50%+ marks in X, XII and graduation, plus a valid CAT/XAT/GMAT score. BBA: Class 12 pass with 50%+ aggregate plus CUET/institute test score. FPM: Master's degree with 60%+ marks plus Bachelor's with 50%+ marks and a qualifying research/standard test score.
Admission Process
For the flagship PGDM: (1) Online application on MDIM's website/admissions portal (shared with MDI Gurgaon) - application fee INR 1,770 (incl. 18% GST) for MDIM alone, or INR 3,590 combined with MDI Gurgaon; (2) Shortlisting based on application-form details and CAT/XAT/GMAT scores; (3) Shortlisted candidates attend a Personal Interview at a centre in Bangalore, Gurugram, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai or Mumbai (centres other than Kolkata and Gurugram are tentative), or online; (4) Foreign/OCI/PIO/Gulf-country applicants are considered on valid GMAT scores alone; (5) Final selection combines entrance score, PI performance, academic record and work experience; (6) Admission offers communicated to successful candidates, followed by fee payment. For the 2026-28 PGDM batch, online application was available up to 20 January 2026 (previously extended from 28 November 2025); CAT cut-off for shortlisting was reported around the 65th percentile in the 2025 admission cycle. No management quota is offered; admission is stated to be strictly merit-based via the above process. CAT 2026 registration (for the subsequent PGDM 2027-29 cycle) opened with registrations reported to close around 15 September 2026.
