Frequently Asked Questions
MICAT is MICA’s common entrance examination for all programmes offered under both the schools – School of Management (SoM) – PGDM-C, PGDM, and FPM, and the School of Applied Creativity (SoAC) – CCC (1 Year). MICAT is a computer-based test conducted twice a year, held in two windows—MICAT-I in December and MICAT-II in February. Candidates may appear for both attempts, and the better of the two scores is considered for evaluation. MICAT is carefully structured to assess a wide range of competencies that are common across both schools and all programmes, ensuring a holistic evaluation of every candidate. For SoM: Admission to MICA (PGP Programmes) happens through a 3-stage filtering process comprising of – i). CAT/XAT/GMAT performance, ii). Performance in MICAT written exam and performance in, iii). Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI). MICAT written exam includes: Psychometric Test Descriptive Test Aptitude Test (i. Divergent & Convergent Thinking, ii. Verbal Ability, iii. Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation, iv. General Awareness). For SoCA: Creative aptitude & Potential (CAP). This holistic evaluation ensures that candidates possess the analytical mindset, creative thinking, and communication skills essential for MICA’s programmes.
PGDM-C, PGDM, PGCM(AMC) and PGCM(DMMC) are all AICTE approved
