Admission to BAMS at NAMC is merit-based and routed through NEET (UG). Kerala uses its OWN state admission process — the Centralised Allotment Process (CAP) administered by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE), Government of Kerala — NOT the AACCC (All India Quota) or KEA (Karnataka) mechanisms used in other states. Approximately 85% of seats are allocated through the Kerala CEE CAP; the remaining 15% are Management and NRI Quota seats administered by the college.

Nangelil Ayurveda Medical College Admissions

Admission Process Overview

Below is the complete admission information including eligible exams, eligibility criteria, admission process, and important notes for each program offered.

Required Entrance Exams

NEET (UG) — conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). Kerala admission is through CEE Kerala CAP (NOT AACCC/KEA as in Karnataka colleges).

Eligibility Criteria
10+2/Plus Two with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology; minimum 50% marks in PCB (General/OC); 40% for SC/ST/OBC as per Kerala norms; valid NEET (UG) score; minimum age 17 years as on 31st December of the admission year.
Admission Process
NEET (UG) qualification → Register for Kerala BAMS / Ayurveda Admission through the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE), Government of Kerala at cee.kerala.gov.in → Certificate verification and rank-based allotment through the Kerala Centralised Allotment Process (CAP) for Government/Merit Quota seats (85% of 60 = approximately 51 seats) → For Management and NRI Quota (15% of 60 = approximately 9 seats), apply directly to Nangelil Ayurveda Medical College through the Nangelil Charitable Trust as per the Kerala Private Medical College Management Association (PMCMA) / KUHS guidelines → Document verification: NEET UG score card, Plus Two mark sheet, date of birth certificate, community certificate (if applicable), NRI documents (for NRI quota), character certificate, recent passport-size photographs → Fee remittance and admission confirmation.

Important Notice

Kerala BAMS admission is conducted through CEE Kerala's own centralised allotment process — NOT through AACCC (the 15% All India Quota mechanism used for other states) or KEA (Karnataka-specific). Kerala state manages its own BAMS/AYUSH seat allotment under the Dept. of AYUSH and CEE Kerala. Candidates from outside Kerala can apply for Management or NRI Quota directly with the college. Annual NCISM (AVU0105) and KUHS continuation approvals for 2025-26 are publicly available on nangelilayurvedamedicalcollege.com.
