Candidates register for NMAT by GMAC and nominate NMIMS Hyderabad as a preferred campus; only the first NMAT attempt score is considered. Shortlisted candidates then go through an on-campus Competency Assessment/Written Ability Test and Personal Interview (PI); admission-aggregator reporting suggests recent cycles have reduced NMAT weightage to about 10% in favour of the Competency Test (around 60%), with Work Experience and PI carrying roughly 15% weightage each, though candidates should verify current weightages against the official admissions notification each year.
