National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli (NIT Trichy or NITT) is India's top-ranked National Institute of Technology and one of the most prestigious technical institutions in the country. Established in 1964 as Regional Engineering College (REC), it was converted to an NIT in 2003 and is recognized as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India. M.Tech admissions are based on GATE scores through CCMT Counselling. MBA admissions use CAT scores, while MCA admissions use NIMCET. M.Sc admissions are through IIT JAM, and B.Sc.
