It is a constituent medical institute of PES University — a Private University managed by the People's Education Society (PES), which was founded in 1972 by Dr. M.R. Doreswamy and has over 50 years of educational excellence in Bengaluru, primarily known for world-class engineering and technology education (PESIT / PES University). The establishment of PESUIMSR extends PES's legacy into medical education and healthcare. ⚠️ IMPORTANT: PESUIMSR Bengaluru (EC Campus, est. 2024, RGUHS/PES University, Karnataka) is ENTIRELY DISTINCT from PESIMSR Kuppam (est. 2001, Kuppam, Andhra Pradesh, Dr. NTR/YSR University, AP) — both under the PES Group, but two separate colleges in two different states. PESUIMSR is affiliated with RGUHS and recognized by NMC for 150 MBBS seats, and holds NABH and NABL hospital accreditations. PES University itself holds NAAC A+ accreditation. The 25-acre Electronic City campus is strategically positioned near NH-44, 20 km from Bengaluru City Railway Station and 25 km from KIAL. The campus features ultra-modern infrastructure: fully digitised AI-integrated classrooms, skills and simulation lab, central e-library, comprehensive departmental labs (Pre-Clinical, Para-Clinical, Clinical), and a dedicated research centre. PESIMSR Kuppam (est. 2001) is in Kuppam, Andhra Pradesh, affiliated to Dr. YSR/NTR University of Health Sciences, AP, and admissions are via AP counselling. PESUIMSR Bengaluru (est. 2024) is in Electronic City, Bengaluru, Karnataka, affiliated to RGUHS and PES University, and admissions are via KEA Karnataka counselling. They have separate NMC recognitions, different websites (pesimsr.pes.edu for Kuppam; pesuimsr.pes.edu for Bengaluru), and are regulated by different state authorities.
