P K Das Institute of Medical Sciences (PKDIMS), established in 2014 at Vaniamkulam, Ottapalam, Palakkad, is a premier private medical college and super-specialty hospital managed by the Nehru College of Educational and Charitable Trust — a philanthropic body established in 1968. The college is affiliated with Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS) and fully recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC). Beautifully situated on the scenic banks of the Nila (Bharatapuzha) river, the institution combines academic excellence with a commitment to community healthcare. PKDIMS offers 150 MBBS seats annually and MD/MS postgraduate courses. The attached 1000-bedded state-of-the-art super-specialty teaching hospital — with 80–90% occupancy — provides exceptional patient exposure across clinical, para-clinical, and super-specialty departments including Cardiology, Neurology, Nephrology, Neurosurgery, Medical and Surgical Gastroenterology, and Oncology.
