Pushpagiri Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre (PIMSRC), established in 2002, is one of Kerala's first and most respected private medical colleges. Managed by the Pushpagiri Medical Society under the Catholic Church and located in Tiruvalla, Pathanamthitta district, the institution was founded with the mission 'to work towards a Knowledge Society with life in abundance, through Science and Technology, improving Health Care for our immediate community, the state, the country and the world at large.' Affiliated with KUHS and recognized by NMC, the college holds Christian Minority status. PIMSRC offers 100 MBBS seats annually, 65 MD/MS seats across 19 PG departments, and super-specialty DM/MCh seats in 4 disciplines (DM Nephrology, DM Neurology, DM Cardiology, MCh Neurosurgery). Its Research Centre, established in 2010, strengthens academic research. The attached 1200-bedded hi-tech tertiary care hospital features 14 operation theatres, advanced ICUs, fully automated laboratories, and round-the-clock emergency services. Frequently Asked Questions
PIMSRC was established in 2002 as one of Kerala's first private medical colleges. The Research Centre was set up in 2010. It is managed by the Pushpagiri Medical Society under the Catholic Church (Malankara Catholic Church) and is located in Tiruvalla, Pathanamthitta district.
PIMSRC offers 100 MBBS seats per year, split approximately as: 50 seats (50%) Government/State Merit Quota via CEE Kerala, 35 seats (35%) Management Quota, and 15 seats (15%) NRI Quota.
PIMSRC offers 65 MD/MS seats across 19 departments and super-specialty DM/MCh seats in 4 departments: DM Cardiology, DM Neurology, DM Nephrology, and MCh Neurosurgery. Admissions are through NEET PG (for MD/MS) and NEET SS (for DM/MCh) via MCC and CEE Kerala.
The MBBS tuition fee at PIMSRC is Rs. 8,16,038 per year for both government and management quota students as per FRC Kerala norms. NRI quota fee is approximately Rs. 22,00,000 per year. Additional hostel, mess, and miscellaneous fees apply. Fees are subject to annual FRC revision.
