Rajarshi Rananjay Singh College of Pharmacy (RRSCP), Sultanpur, located at Maharaja Bhagwan Baksh Sinh Nagar, Amethi, was established in 2004 as a humble tribute to Rajarshi Rananjay Singh, linking up with the long chain of educational institutions established and nurtured by him. The college is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi, and is affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow for its B.Pharm and M.Pharm programmes, and to the Board of Technical Education (BTE), Lucknow for its D.Pharm programme. Spread over approximately 7.79 acres (with a reported campus area of up to 60 acres), the college aims to improve the healthcare system and provide access to pharmaceutical care to the sick and needy by inculcating students with a strong foundation of knowledge essential to the pharmacy profession. The institute is led by Principal Dr. Anup Maiti (M.Pharm, Ph.D., 33 years of experience), and has a faculty strength of around 27-29 members with a total student enrolment of approximately 291-535 across its programmes. The college features well-equipped pharmaceutical laboratories spanning Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmaceutical Microbiology, and an Industrial Pharmacy unit with a small pilot plant, along with a library housing 1,616 titles and 9,119 volumes, a dedicated computer lab with 20+ systems, and modern multimedia-equipped classrooms.
