About RV College of Engineering
RV College of Engineering (RVCE), officially known as Rashtreeya Vidyalaya College of Engineering, is one of India's earliest self-financing engineering colleges, established in 1963 by the Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust (RSST). Located on a 16.85-acre campus on Mysore Road, Bengaluru, RVCE is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, and was granted autonomous status in 2008. The institution began with just three engineering branches (Civil, Electrical and Mechanical) and has grown into a premier technical institution offering 13 undergraduate, 13 postgraduate, and doctoral programmes across 14 departments. RVCE is accredited with an 'A+' Grade by NAAC, holds Tier 1 status from NBA, and is recognised by AICTE and UGC. It is ranked in the 101–150 band in the NIRF 2025 Engineering Category and holds the 1st position among private engineering colleges in India as per IIRF 2025 Rankings.
