Samrat Ashok Technological Institute, commonly called SATI Vidisha, is one of the oldest engineering institutes in Madhya Pradesh. It was founded in 1960 by Maharaja Jiwajirao Scindia and was inaugurated by President Rajendra Prasad in 1962. Today it is a government-aided autonomous institute affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV), Bhopal, with AICTE approval and NAAC and NBA accreditation.

The 2026-27 first-year B.Tech fee is Rs. 96,900 for all categories, paid as Rs. 55,000 at the time of admission and Rs. 41,900 in January. Over four years this works out to about Rs. 3,87,600.
Students admitted under TFW pay only the second instalment: Rs. 41,900 for B.Tech, Rs. 30,400 for MCA and MBA, and Rs. 6,100 for BBA per year.
The first-year fee is Rs. 85,400 for MBA, Rs. 75,400 for MCA and Rs. 85,400 for M.Tech (2026-27, all categories).

Samrat Ashok Technological Institute (SATI) Vidisha - Overview
The institute is located at Civil Lines, Netaji Subhash Marg in Vidisha, roughly 55 km from Bhopal on the Bhopal-Vidisha highway. Its 85-acre campus houses the engineering departments, a polytechnic, six hostels, faculty quarters and a central library, which makes it a residential campus for students from across the Vindhya and Bhopal region.
SATI offers 13 B.Tech branches, five M.Tech specialisations, MBA, MCA, BBA, M.Sc (Applied Chemistry) and PhD programmes. Admissions are handled through the MP Directorate of Technical Education (MP DTE) using JEE Main, GATE, CAT/MAT/CMAT, NIMCET or merit, depending on the programme. Kailash Satyarthi, the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize laureate, is among the notable alumni.
