S.D. College of Engineering & Technology (SDCET), Muzaffarnagar, was established in 1997 by the Sanatan Dharam College Association under AKTU College Code 083. Over the past 25+ years, SDCET has emerged as a leader in quality technical education in the Muzaffarnagar and Western UP region. The institute is approved by AICTE, New Delhi, and affiliated to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow, and holds the historic distinction of being the first NBA-accredited institution in the Muzaffarnagar region. Situated on Jansath Road, Muzaffarnagar, SDCET's lush green campus offers a refreshing academic environment designed to foster intellectual and personal growth. Academically, SDCET offers B.Tech in CSE (180 seats), IT (30 seats), ECE (30 seats), ME (30 seats), EE (30 seats), CE (30 seats), and AI/Artificial Intelligence (30 seats). At the postgraduate level, the college offers M.Tech in ECE (9 seats) and MBA (60 seats). Polytechnic (Diploma) programmes in CE, CSE, EE and ME (Production) are also offered with 60 seats each. All B.Tech courses are 4-year full-time programmes and M.Tech/MBA are 2-year programmes. Fee structure for 2025-26 (from official website): B.Tech tuition fee is INR 55,000/year with a total payable of INR 66,500/year (including registration and university fees); MBA tuition fee is INR 59,700 with total payable INR 73,000/year; M.Tech ECE tuition is INR 57,500 with total payable INR 71,800/year. Polytechnic diploma programmes are INR 30,150 tuition fee per year with total payable INR 31,500. SDCET has placed 5,000+ students in over 250 companies, with a highest placement package of 25 LPA and an average package of 7 LPA. Major recruiters include TCS, Accenture, HCL, Sopra Steria, Cognizant, Capgemini, DXC Technologies, Newgen Technologies, Infosys, Chetu, and OLA. The institute runs a dedicated Training & Placement Cell that conducts regular employability enhancement programmes, industry visits, mock interviews, and skill development workshops. The campus features a central library with digital links, well-equipped computer centres, NBA-standard labs, a Bosch Bridge Skill Development Centre, an incubation centre, sports club, NSS chapter, IQAC cell, and an NPTEL chapter. The college organises regular Medha Talk Series, national and international conferences, and has conducted distribution of tablets to 224 students under the UP Government's DigiShakti Scheme. SDCET has also signed MoUs with Quality Austria Central Asia (QACA) and other industry partners for skill enhancement and international exposure.
