Admission Process Overview
Below is the complete admission information including eligible exams, eligibility criteria, admission process, and important notes for each program offered.
Required Entrance Exams
GMAT or GRE (scores after Jan 1, 2020), or SDA Bocconi's own internal test - for IEMB
Eligibility Criteria
Undergraduate degree in any discipline; 9+ years of work experience or young entrepreneurs (exceptions possible for outstanding profiles); proficiency in English; current full-time employment.
Admission Process
Online application (non-refundable fee of INR 4,600) with required documents; evaluation of academic/professional experience, motivations and skills; candidates submit GMAT/GRE scores or take the internal test, provide a letter of recommendation from a current or previous Reporting Manager, and complete a final personal interview; offer letters are issued once the round's selection process concludes. For the 2026-28 intake, the Admission Process begins April 2026, with the Final Round Deadline on September 10, 2026, program start in October 2026 and graduation in January 2028.

Bocconi Test, CAT, GMAT (scores after Jan 1, 2023), NMAT by GMAC, or GRE (scores after Jan 1, 2023) - for IMB
Eligibility Criteria
Undergraduate degree in any discipline (or final year), minimum 55% across 10th/12th/undergraduate and 70% aggregate average across all three; 0-5 years of work experience preferred.
Admission Process
Online application (fee INR 3,500) followed by submission of a valid test score, CV, transcripts and essays; the Bocconi Test may be scheduled for candidates without another qualifying score; shortlisted candidates go through an AI-enabled video interview followed by a personal interview with the Admissions Panel; final decisions and any scholarships are communicated via offer letter. Evaluation covers academic ability, test scores, work experience, extracurriculars/soft skills, and interview performance.
