The eligibility criteria for BAMS admission require candidates to have completed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as core subjects, with a minimum aggregate of 50% in these three subjects (40% for SC/ST/OBC categories). Candidates must be at least 17 years of age on or before December 31 of the admission year. A valid NEET UG score is mandatory — there is no exemption from NEET for any category of student for BAMS admission.
Step-by-Step BAMS Admission Process
- Register and appear for NEET UG conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
- Check NEET UG result and verify your qualifying score (minimum 50th percentile for General category; 40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC).
- Register on the KEA official portal (kea.kar.nic.in) for Karnataka AYUSH NEET Counselling after results are declared.
- Complete document upload and verification on the KEA portal.
- Fill your college and speciality choices during the KEA choice-filling window.
- Check seat allotment result published by KEA after each counselling round.

- For 15% AIQ seats, register separately on the AACCC portal at ayushcounselling.nic.in.
Students should note that Karnataka AYUSH Counselling typically runs in four rounds including a Stray Vacancy Round. Candidates who miss early round deadlines or who do not get allotments in earlier rounds can still participate in subsequent rounds. It is strongly advisable to register on the KEA portal early and keep all required documents (NEET scorecard, 10+2 marksheet, caste certificate if applicable, Karnataka domicile proof, Aadhaar, and passport photographs) ready before counselling begins.
