Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical College & Research Institute (SABVMCRI) — formerly known as Bowring & Lady Curzon Medical College & Research Institute — is a fully autonomous government medical college established in 2019 by the Government of Karnataka, located in the historic Shivajinagar neighbourhood of Central Bengaluru. The college was renamed to honour former Prime Minister of India Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee. SABVMCRI is affiliated with RGUHS, Bengaluru, and approved by NMC for 150 MBBS seats and MD/MS postgraduate courses in select specialties, with additional seats being phased in. 100% merit-based admissions — no Management or NRI quota — via KEA (State Quota, 85%) and MCC (AIQ, 15%).
