SPJIMR's admission and selection process is strictly merit-based, with no management or other quota. Applicants must fill out the online application form and pay the processing fee (Rs. 2,500 for Indian applicants, Rs. 5,000 for international applicants). Shortlisting is based on the applicant's profile combined with qualifying scores in at least one accepted entrance exam; profiles are evaluated on academic consistency (Class 10, Class 12 and every year of graduation), relevance of work experience (if any), entrance scores, and versatility and achievements. SPJIMR communicates directly with shortlisted candidates and states clearly that it never appoints intermediaries to guarantee admission for a fee.
