Admission to SPJIMR's PGDM programme is strictly merit-based; the institute states clearly on its official website that it has no management or other quota, and that assessment is based purely on an applicant's profile, qualifying entrance scores, and interview performance. SPJIMR communicates directly with all shortlisted candidates and explicitly warns applicants against intermediaries or agencies claiming to guarantee admission for a fee, stating it never appoints such intermediaries under any circumstance. Admission-related grievances are handled by the institute's Grievance Redressal Committee, in line with AICTE's regulatory framework.

Admission Process at SPJIMR
For the Batch of 2027-2029, applications open on 15th September 2026 and close on 27th November 2026. Eligible applicants need a Bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in any discipline from a recognised university, and must submit either a valid CAT or GMAT score. Freshers as well as candidates with up to five years of work experience can apply. The online application form carries a processing fee of Rs. 2,500 for Indian applicants and Rs. 5,000 for international applicants, both subject to revision. The Government of India, through AICTE, has additionally allocated PGDM an extra 36 seats reserved exclusively for international students, including Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs), children of Indian workers in Gulf countries, and foreign nationals.
- Valid CAT or GMAT scorecard
- Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets and passing certificates
- Bachelor's degree mark sheets and provisional/final degree certificate
- Work experience certificates, where applicable
- Category certificate, where applicable
- Passport-size photographs and a valid photo ID
Shortlisted applicants are evaluated as either Profile-based or Profile-cum-Score-based, with the overall assessment weighing academic background (consistency across Class 10, Class 12 and every year of graduation), the relevance of any work experience to the chosen specialisation, meeting the minimum qualifying entrance-exam cutoff, and versatility and achievements across diverse fields of interest. International applicants are additionally assessed on 'emotional readiness' - including work experience, extra-curricular involvement and fit with SPJIMR's mission of value-based leadership - and must apply for a Student Visa valid for more than 180 days, registering with the FRO/FRRO in Mumbai within 14 days of arrival where applicable. Applicants are encouraged to check the official admission process page for the latest timelines and requirements.
