SAMCH was established in 2018 along with its teaching hospital (opened July 2, 2018). The college received its first NCISM approval for 100 BAMS seats on December 13, 2022, effective from the 2022-23 academic session.

The BAMS programme fee at SAMCH is approximately ₹4,00,000 per year, payable in two installments of ₹2,00,000 every six months, totalling around ₹18,00,000 for the full 4.5-year academic duration with no annual fee increment, as per deemed university policy.
