Sushant School of Art & Architecture (SSAA), originally established in 1989 as Sushant School of Art & Architecture, is one of Delhi NCR's premier architecture and design schools. Now part of Ansal University, Gurugram (established under Haryana Private Universities Act), SSAA has over 35 years of architectural education legacy, making it one of the oldest private architecture schools in North India. SSAA offers B.Arch (Bachelor of Architecture) – a 5-year COA-approved program, along with B.Des (Bachelor of Design), M.Arch (Master of Architecture), and M.Plan (Master of Planning) programs. The B.Arch program is recognized by the Council of Architecture (COA), which is mandatory for practicing architecture in India. The campus in Sector 55 on Golf Course Road, Gurugram, is located in one of India's most rapidly developing urban landscapes – giving architecture students a living laboratory of urban design, real estate development, and contemporary architecture. The Ansal Group (one of India's largest real estate companies) ownership provides unique industry connections for architecture students. SSAA's infrastructure includes design studios with individual workstations for each student, model-making workshops with CNC routers, 3D printers, and laser cutters, a materials library, photography studio, computer labs with AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, V-Ray, and Adobe Creative Suite, an architecture library with extensive collection of design books and journals, exhibition spaces, and a seminar hall. Faculty includes practicing architects, urban planners, and design researchers from India and abroad. The teaching methodology emphasizes studio-based learning, design critiques (juries), site visits, live projects with architecture firms, study tours to architectural landmarks, and research-driven design. SSAA's 35-year alumni network includes architects working at leading firms (Hafeez Contractor, CP Kukreja, RSP Design, Morphogenesis, etc.), urban planners, interior designers, and real estate professionals. Placements connect graduates with architecture firms, real estate developers, urban planning agencies, interior design studios, and construction companies. Average packages range from INR 4 to 8 LPA, with experienced architects earning significantly more.
