Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Nagpur (SIBM Nagpur) Admissions

Admission Process Overview

Below is the complete admission information including eligible exams, eligibility criteria, admission process, and important notes for each program offered.

Required Entrance Exams

SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test) - the sole accepted entrance exam for the flagship MBA and MBA (FABM); no CAT/MAT/XAT accepted, no management quota or state counselling.

Eligibility Criteria
Bachelor's degree (any discipline) from a recognised university with a minimum of 45-50% aggregate marks (40-45% for SC/ST, per aggregator sourcing); final-year students may apply. Candidates with a foreign qualifying degree require an Association of Indian Universities (AIU) equivalence certificate.
Admission Process
Per Collegedunia and Shiksha sourcing for the 2026-28 admission cycle: (1) Register for SNAP at snaptest.org and select SIBM Nagpur as a preferred institute (SNAP allows up to three attempts; best score used); (2) Separately register with SIBM Nagpur; (3) Candidates clearing the SNAP cut-off (commonly cited around 55-70 percentile, varies by source/year) are shortlisted for Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interaction (PI) - a Written Ability Test (WAT) is also referenced by some sources as part of this stage; (4) Final merit is computed as SNAP score (50 marks) + GE (10 marks) + PI (40 marks) = 100 marks; (5) Merit list(s) published in stages (first, second, third) and seats confirmed via fee payment. For the 2026-28 cycle: SNAP registration closed and SIBM Nagpur registration/payment closed January 16, 2026; GE-PI shortlist announced January 21, 2026; GE-PI conducted January 30 - February 11, 2026; first merit list February 18, 2026; second and third merit lists March 24 and April 13, 2026; programme commencement June 1-3, 2026 (exact commencement date varies slightly by source). Dates recur annually and should be confirmed for the applicant's specific intake year.
