Technical Education and Research Institute (TERI), Ghazipur was established as an appendage of Post-Graduate College, Ghazipur, and in 1994 became the first institute in Uttar Pradesh outside state-funded engineering colleges to offer the MCA degree. It later added the MBA (1998), and the BBA and BCA programmes (2005). TERI's MBA and MCA are affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. For MBA/MCA: candidates take the CUET(PG) conducted every year; 15% management-quota seats and any vacant seats are filled directly as per university norms. For BBA/BCA: candidates take the institute's own Common Entrance Test (CET), a comprehensive test with objective questions on general English, quantitative aptitude, general knowledge and mental ability for 10+2 qualified candidates, followed by group discussion and personal interview; 15% seats are reserved for NRI / management-sponsored candidates.
