Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TIET), formerly Thapar University, is one of India's leading private deemed-to-be-universities established in 1956 by visionary industrialist Karamyogi Thapar. Located on a sprawling 250-acre residential campus in Patiala, Punjab, TIET is recognized as an Institute of National Importance by the Govt. of India and holds the prestigious NAAC A++ accreditation.
