Vedantaa Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS), Palghar, is one of Maharashtra's newer private medical colleges, established in 2017 in the serene and naturally abundant district of Palghar. VIMS features modern academic infrastructure including well-equipped lecture halls, demonstration halls, technology-driven laboratories, and spacious dissection halls. Classrooms are designed for interactive and multimedia-based learning in line with the Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME) model mandated by NMC. The central library maintains a decent collection of medical books, Indian and foreign journals, and a digital library facility to support student research. The teaching hospital — Vedantaa Hospital and Research Centre — is a premier multi-specialty facility attached to the college. With 850+ total beds (including 770 teaching beds and 50 emergency beds), the hospital serves over 1,399+ outpatients daily across all specialties, providing MBBS students with rich and diverse clinical exposure, particularly to tribal and rural health conditions unique to the Palghar region. The hospital is equipped with dedicated critical care units including ICU, NICU, PICU, SICU, and MICU, a 24×7 casualty and emergency unit, modular operation theatres, and comprehensive inpatient and outpatient departments. The Vedantaa Hospital also runs an Anti-Retroviral Therapy (ART) Centre, highlighting the institution's commitment to community and public health. Admissions to MBBS are conducted through the Maharashtra State CET Cell NEET UG counselling (85% State Quota) and MCC All India Quota (15%). PG MD/MS admissions are managed through Maharashtra State CET Cell NEET PG counselling (50%) and MCC All India Quota (50%). As per Maharashtra government norms, MBBS graduates are required to complete a one-year rural service bond post-internship or pay a penalty of ₹10,00,000.
