KCET (Karnataka CET)

Eligibility Criteria
10+2 with PCM and English; minimum 45% aggregate; Karnataka domicile mandatory; Physics and Mathematics compulsory
Admission Process
Appear for KCET → qualify with valid rank → register with Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) → submit documents at designated helpline centers for verification → choose AIT in preference list during online counselling → lock choices → receive allotment letter → report to AIT with original documents and pay fees

Important Notice

KCET 2026 exam scheduled for April 23–24, 2026. KCET is mandatory for Karnataka domicile students and provides access to the government/state quota with the lowest fee structure.

Required Entrance Exams

COMEDK UGET

Eligibility Criteria
10+2 with PCM and English; minimum 45% aggregate; applicable for all-India students including non-Karnataka candidates
Admission Process
Register for COMEDK UGET → appear for exam (May 9, 2026) → receive result → participate in COMEDK counselling → choose AIT and branch preference → seat allotment → report and pay fees

Important Notice

COMEDK UGET 2026 scheduled for May 9, 2026. Main pathway for students from outside Karnataka. Slightly higher fee than KCET quota.

Required Entrance Exams

GATE / Karnataka PGCET

Eligibility Criteria
B.E./B.Tech. with minimum 50% aggregate; valid GATE or PGCET score
Admission Process
Qualify GATE or Karnataka PGCET → apply to AIT M.Tech program → participate in counselling → seat allotment → enrollment

M.Tech admission via GATE/PGCET. Karnataka PGCET M.Tech 2026 exam scheduled for May 23, 2026.

Required Entrance Exams

CMAT / MAT / KMAT / Karnataka PGCET

Eligibility Criteria
Bachelor's degree in any discipline with minimum 50% aggregate
Admission Process
Appear for any of the accepted MBA entrance exams → register with AIT → participate in Karnataka PGCET counselling or apply directly through institute → group discussion and personal interview → final selection

Important Notice

Karnataka PGCET MBA 2026 exam scheduled for May 14, 2026. MBA closing rank via PGCET was 31,049 (GM) in 2025. KMAT Karnataka registration opens from May 2026.

10+2 with PCM and English; minimum 45% aggregate; based on Class 12 marks and seat availability
Admission Process
Contact AIT admissions office directly → submit Class 12 marksheet and other documents → seat allocation based on merit and availability → pay management quota fee to confirm admission
