Affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bengaluru, and approved by NCISM and CCIM (Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India), Agastya Ayu College offers BAMS with 60 annual seats on a 5-acre purpose-built campus with a 60-bed Ayurvedic teaching hospital, 14 academic departments, and a Central Library of 2,652 volumes. 10+2 / 2nd PUC with PCB and English; minimum 50% in PCB aggregate (40% for SC/ST/OBC Karnataka reserved categories); minimum age 17 years by 31st December of admission year; must qualify NEET UG.
Admission Process
Step 1 – Qualify NEET UG (NTA). Step 2 – For 15% AIQ seats: Register on AACCC-UG portal (aaccc.gov.in). For 85% Karnataka quota (State / Management / NRI): Register on KEA portal at kea.kar.nic.in or cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/ under UG AYUSH NEET section. Step 3 – Pay Online Security Money on KEA portal. Step 4 – Complete document upload and verification (online or at KEA office, Bengaluru). Step 5 – Online Choice Filling: Select Agastya Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital, Koppal (BAMS) among your college choices. Options entered in Round 1 carry forward to Round 2 — only reshuffling allowed, no fresh additions. Step 6 – Seat Allotment Result: Exercise one of four options — (a) Satisfied – join and exit; (b) Satisfied – join and participate in next round; (c) Not Satisfied – surrender and participate in next round; (d) Withdraw completely. Step 7 – Pay fees via e-Challan or online; collect KEA allotment order. Step 8 – Report to Agastya Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital, Opp. KIMS, Kidadal Road, Koppal – 583231, with all original documents on or before the stipulated date. KEA conducts 4 rounds: Round 1, Round 2, Mop-Up Round, and Stray Vacancy Round.

60-Bed Ayurvedic Teaching Hospital

A fully operational 60-bed Ayurvedic teaching hospital providing comprehensive OPD and IPD services across all 14 clinical departments. The hospital has General Wards for inpatient treatment, Consultation Rooms for OPD consultations in all specialities, a Primary Emergency Care Unit for acute care, and an integrated Panchakarma Unit. Students from the 2nd Professional year onwards receive supervised clinical exposure in all departments. Online and telephonic hospital appointment booking is available through agastyayukoppal.org.

A dedicated Panchakarma Unit within the teaching hospital offering classical Ayurvedic detoxification and rejuvenation procedures — Vamana, Virechana, Basti, Nasya, Raktamokshana, Shirodhara, Snehana, and Swedana — administered under the supervision of the MD (Panchakarma) specialist faculty. The Panchakarma unit also supports clinical training for BAMS students in their Final Professional year.

The Central Library houses a total of 2,652 books: 2,505 volumes specifically on Ayurveda (covering all classical and contemporary Ayurvedic subjects taught across the BAMS curriculum), 125 books on Modern Medicine and related disciplines, 12 Medical Journals, and 10 other reference titles. The library is a comprehensive academic resource for BAMS students and faculty at all levels.
