Al-Ameen Medical College, Bijapur (also known as AMC Bijapur or AMCH) is a premier private medical institution located in Vijayapur (formerly Bijapur), Karnataka. Established in September 1984 by Dr. Mumtaz Ahmed Khan, the visionary founder of the Al-Ameen Movement, the college operates under the aegis of the Al-Ameen Charitable Fund Trust, a registered trust since 1979 headquartered in Bangalore. The Trust also runs Al-Ameen Dental College, Al-Ameen Women & Children Hospital, and Fathima School of Nursing — making it one of the most comprehensive healthcare and education ecosystems in North Karnataka. The college is affiliated with the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bengaluru, and has been recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC), formerly the Medical Council of India (MCI), since 1994. Admissions are conducted strictly through NEET UG and NEET PG scores, with seat allotment via the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) counselling process. The college provides 150 MBBS seats per year along with postgraduate MD/MS programs across 13+ specializations totalling approximately 75 PG seats. All hostels feature 24-hour electricity, backup generators, solar water heating, own mess and kitchen, recreation halls, prayer halls, visitor rooms, and STD/ISD telephone facilities.
