All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Gorakhpur (AIIMS Gorakhpur) is a premier government medical institute established in 2019 under Phase VI of the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. Recognised as an Institute of National Importance, it is situated on a 112-acre campus at Kunraghat, Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. AIIMS Gorakhpur offers undergraduate MBBS (125 seats), postgraduate MD/MS programmes, BSc (Post-Basic) Nursing, MSc programmes, and research (PhD) courses. The campus hosts a 550+ bed multi-specialty teaching hospital with 30 functional departments including General Medicine, Surgery, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, OBG, Neurology, Cardiology, Radiology, Oncology, and more. Its state-of-the-art infrastructure includes digitally equipped lecture halls, modern laboratories, a simulation and skills lab, a central library with digital resources, research labs, residential complexes, and sports facilities. Admission to MBBS is through NEET-UG via MCC All India Quota counselling, while PG admissions are through INI-CET.
