In TNEA 2024, the last-round closing rank for B.E. Computer Science and Engineering at Alpha College of Engineering for the General/OC (All India) category was 136,581. The total approved seat intake across all programs at ACE Chennai is 432 seats combined. The MBA program has the highest intake with 120 seats. B.E./B.Tech branches (CSE, ECE, ME, Biomedical, IT) each have 60 seats, while newer programs like Robotics & Automation and Cyber Security have 30 seats each. M.E. in CSE has 18 seats.

Admission to B.E./B.Tech at ACE is through TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions) counselling conducted by Anna University. The TNEA rank is based on Class 12 marks in Mathematics (100 marks) + Physics (50 marks) + Chemistry (50 marks) = total 200 marks. Students register at tneaonline.org, and seats are allotted in multiple rounds. Management Quota seats are also available directly through the college. The eligibility is 10+2 with PCM and minimum 50% aggregate.
