AMC Engineering College (AMCEC), established in 1999 under the Paramahamsa Foundation Trust, is one of Bangalore's prominent private engineering institutions. Located on the scenic Bannerghatta Main Road — in the vicinity of the Bannerghatta National Park — approximately 16 km from central Bangalore, the college is spread across a lush 52-acre campus featuring Roman-architectural inspired infrastructure that sets it apart from most engineering colleges in Karnataka. AMC Engineering College offers a wide range of undergraduate (BE), postgraduate (M.Tech, MBA, MCA), and doctoral (PhD) programs across disciplines including Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), AI & Machine Learning (AIML), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Aeronautical Engineering, Information Science and Engineering (ISE), and more. The institute also offers unique programs like Automobile Engineering and Industrial Engineering, catering to specialized industry segments. Total BE sanctioned intake is approximately 900 students annually across 10+ specializations. Admissions to the BE program are primarily through KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) and COMEDK UGET for merit-based seats, and through management quota for direct admissions. The KCET 2024 closing rank for the General Merit (GM) category ranged between 36,377 (CSE, Round 1) and 1,04,880 (Civil Engineering, Round 1). COMEDK UGET 2024 closing ranks ranged from approximately 26,054 (CSE) to 71,881 (Civil Engineering). KCET 2025 closing ranks ranged from 46,716 to 1,31,059 for the General Home State category. The AMCEC library is a well-resourced center with over 75,000 volumes including textbooks, journals, reference books, and digital resources, and plays a proactive role in academic support. Campus infrastructure includes well-equipped departmental laboratories, a sports complex, separate boys' and girls' hostels, a cafeteria, a gym, a bank with ATM (State Bank of Mysore branch inside campus), a canteen, and free Wi-Fi across the campus.
