Admission to Amity University Gwalior follows different routes depending on the programme and school. For B.Tech admissions, candidates need to have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, and can gain entry through the university's own Amity Joint Entrance Examination (Amity JEE), a valid JEE Main score, or CUET. Candidates who have scored 80% or above in their 10+2 examination from a recognized board are eligible for direct admission, exempt from the standard entrance and interview process, based purely on the application form. For postgraduate management programmes such as the MBA, candidates need a graduation degree with at least 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved categories) and are required to submit a valid score from AMCAT (the university's own admission test) or a national-level exam such as CAT, MAT, XAT, NMAT or CMAT, typically followed by a group discussion or personal interview round.

Admission Process at Amity University Gwalior
Admission to the five-year integrated law programmes requires 10+2 with at least 50% aggregate marks, with LSAT or CLAT scores accepted; candidates for the graduate-entry LL.B. (Hons.) instead need a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks. The MCA programme accepts candidates with Mathematics at either the 10+2 or graduation level, or a B.Sc (IT)/BCA background, with a bridge course available for those lacking a Mathematics background; PG admissions here proceed through the Amity-conducted entrance test, merit, and an interview (except for programmes like English Literature, Commerce and Communication, which typically admit on a merit basis alone). Ph.D. admissions require a postgraduate degree with a valid NET score or equivalent, followed by the university's own Amity Research Aptitude Test and an interview before provisional registration in full-time or part-time mode.
- Class 10 and Class 12 (or equivalent) mark sheets and passing certificates
- Valid entrance exam scorecard (Amity JEE/JEE Main/CUET/CAT/MAT/XAT/NMAT/CMAT/LSAT/CLAT, as applicable)
- Transfer certificate and migration certificate
- Category/caste validity certificate, where applicable
- Passport-size photographs and identity proof
- Application fee payment confirmation (Rs. 1,100 for the standard application)
Once shortlisted, candidates attend an online or on-campus interview where applicable, receive an admission offer letter through the Amity admission portal, and confirm their seat by uploading original documents and completing fee payment. Prospective students are encouraged to also review the current-year scholarship criteria in advance, since merit-based waivers tied to Class 12 marks, JEE Main percentile or CLAT score can meaningfully reduce the effective fee for high-scoring applicants.
