Admission Process at AIET
Following the entrance examination, candidates participate in the counselling process conducted by the respective examining authority (JoSAA/CSAB for JEE Main-based seats, or the OJEE counselling authority for OJEE-based seats), through which they are allotted a seat at AIET based on their rank, category and preference. Diploma admissions follow a parallel process through OJEE's Diploma stream or Odisha DET, while M.Tech, MCA and MBA admissions are similarly routed through OJEE's respective postgraduate streams, in line with AICTE, BPUT and SCTE&VT guidelines.
- Valid JEE Main or OJEE rank card/scorecard
- Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets and passing certificates
- Migration certificate/transfer certificate from the last institution attended
- Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC), where applicable
- Domicile certificate, where applicable for state-quota seats
- Passport-size photographs and a valid photo ID
Once allotted a seat, candidates must report to AIET within the notified reporting window with original documents for verification and complete their fee payment to confirm admission. Applicants are encouraged to regularly check the official admission process page and the JEE Main/OJEE counselling schedules each year, since exact dates and seat-matrix details are updated by the respective examining authority for every admission cycle.
AIET's Admission Contact office additionally supports prospective students through a direct helpline (+91-9437481252) and a WhatsApp inquiry channel for quick prospectus and fee-structure requests, in addition to the standard online Admission Inquiry Form and Apply Online portal. The institute maintains both a campus office at Arya Vihar and a separate City Office at 32, Forest Park, First Floor, Bhubaneswar, for candidates who prefer an in-person enquiry closer to the city centre before travelling to the main campus. For students and parents based outside Odisha, a dedicated outstation contact number (+91-9437475534) is also listed on the official website to assist with long-distance admission queries and travel planning ahead of the counselling and reporting process.
Since JEE Main and OJEE are conducted independently by NTA/CBSE and the Odisha state government respectively, prospective B.Tech applicants should register for and appear in at least one of these exams well ahead of the counselling cycle to ensure they are eligible to be considered for a seat at AIET when the respective counselling authority opens its seat-allotment rounds each year.
