Basava Academy of Engineering (BAE) offers four full-time 4-year B.E. programs affiliated to VTU, Belagavi: Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering. Total AICTE-sanctioned intake is 240 seats — 60 per branch.

Admissions to B.E. programs at BAE are primarily through KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) for Karnataka domicile students. The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) conducts seat allotment via online counselling in multiple rounds at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. Management quota admissions are also available for students who don't qualify through KCET or for those seeking direct admission. Minimum eligibility is 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with at least 45% aggregate.

BAE is located near Peenya Dasarahalli, which is adjacent to Peenya Industrial Estate — Asia's largest small and medium enterprise industrial hub. This gives students unique proximity to manufacturing, engineering, and industrial companies for internships, live projects, and campus placements. The college has also established an Incubation Centre in collaboration with local Peenya industries through its EDP (Entrepreneurship Development Programme) with MSME and AWAKE Bangalore.
