Admission Process Overview

Below is the complete admission information including eligible exams, eligibility criteria, admission process, and important notes for each program offered.

Required Entrance Exams

C-CAT (C-DAC Common Admission Test) for PG Diploma / PGCP courses; GATE for M.Tech; IPU CET (GGSIPU) for MCA, MBA, PGDM; NIMCET for MCA

Eligibility Criteria
Graduate in Engineering/Technology in IT/CS/Electronics/Telecom/Electrical/Instrumentation (10+2+4 or 10+3+3) OR MSc/MS in CS/IT/Electronics (10+2+3+2). Minimum 55% marks (60% for PGCP-AI). No age restriction.
Admission Process
Step 1: Online registration and C-CAT application on cdac.in. Step 2: Appear in C-CAT at test centres (Category II: Sections A+B; Category III: Sections A+B+C). C-CAT has 3 sections of 50 MCQs each (1 hour per section). Step 3: C-CAT rank published → candidates apply for counselling with course and centre preferences. Step 4: Seat allotment based on C-CAT rank + preferences + available seats. Step 5: Pay 1st installment of course fee → confirm seat → join allocated centre.

Important Notice

C-CAT conducted TWICE a year: January (for February batch) and July (for August batch). August 2026 C-CAT: Registration opens ~May 2026; C-CAT exam ~July 2026; batch starts August 2026. C-CAT Application Fee: Rs.1,000 (approx). Student loans available: Bank of India, Axis Bank. Source: cdac.in official admissions page.
