Candidates seeking admission must first appear for the Maharashtra MAH-MBA/MMS-CET, conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, or an accepted alternative examination such as CAT, MAT or CMAT where permitted by the competent authority for a given admission cycle.

Chetana's R. K. Institute of Management and Research (CRKIMR) Admissions
Below is the complete admission information including eligible exams, eligibility criteria, admission process, and important notes for each program offered.
Required Entrance Exams
MAH-MBA/MMS-CET (or CAT / MAT / CMAT as permitted)
Important Notice
Of the total 120 MMS seats, 96 are filled through DTE's CAP rounds and 24 through Institute Level admission on CET merit; additional seats are sanctioned over and above intake for J&K Quota (1), EWS (12) and TFWS (6). Seats vacant after CAP rounds are filled by the institute per DTE's inter-se merit norms; CRKIMR does not fill vacant TFWS, EWS or J&K quota seats itself. CAP rounds for the MMS AY 2026-27 batch were scheduled from early August to early September 2026.
Required Entrance Exams
Ph.D. Entrance Test (PET), University of Mumbai
Important Notice
CRKIMR is an approved Ph.D. Research Centre of the University of Mumbai; all Ph.D. admission rules, PET notifications and fee structures are governed directly by the University of Mumbai's Thesis Section rather than fixed independently by the institute.
Admission Process at CRKIMR
Step-by-Step Admission Process
- Register for and appear in the MAH-MBA/MMS-CET (or an accepted alternative exam).
- Register on the DTE's Centralised Admission Process (CAP) portal after the results are declared.
- Participate in CAP rounds; provisional and final merit lists (ACAP/ILS) are published by the institute and the CAP authority.
- Report to the institute within the scheduled reporting window for document verification and fee payment.
- For the 24 Institute Level seats, apply directly to CRKIMR based on inter-se CET merit, separate from the CAP rounds.
- Complete admission confirmation and orientation/induction before the start of the academic term.
Of the sanctioned intake of 120 seats, 96 are allocated through DTE's CAP rounds and 24 through the Institute Level quota. Additional seats are sanctioned over and above this base intake for reserved categories: 1 for the J&K Quota, 12 for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS), and 6 under the Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFWS). Any seats left vacant after the CAP rounds, or due to cancellations, are filled by the institute strictly according to the inter-se CET merit list and DTE norms; CRKIMR does not fill seats left vacant specifically within the TFWS, EWS or J&K quota categories.
For the AY 2026-27 admission cycle, CAP rounds for the MMS programme were scheduled across multiple rounds between early August and early September 2026, with institute reporting windows announced separately for each round. Students from universities other than the University of Mumbai are required to pay an additional verification fee — Rs. 400 for candidates from within Maharashtra and Rs. 500 for candidates from outside the state. Applicants are advised to read the official MAH-MBA/MMS-CET information brochure published by the DTE each year for the exact eligibility, exam pattern and CAP schedule, since these are revised annually by the state authority rather than by the institute itself. The current status of the MMS admission process and CAP schedule is updated on the admissions page each cycle.
