DACHRC's academic identity is focused and vertically deep rather than broad. Unlike multi-disciplinary private colleges, DACHRC is exclusively an Ayurvedic institution โ its entire academic infrastructure, faculty expertise, hospital capacity, herbal garden, and laboratory setup is oriented around one discipline: Ayurvedic medicine. This means students choosing DACHRC are choosing a college that has made a complete institutional commitment to Ayurveda, with no dilution into engineering, management, or allied health programs.
Dhanvantari Ayurveda College offers students courses in different areas. Candidates can enroll in UG and PG programmes based on their interests and career goals. Admissions are offered based on merit or entrance exam performance. Check below the Dhanvantari Ayurveda College, Hospital & Research Centre courses along with their tuition fees and eligibility criteria:

Courses at Dhanvantari Ayurveda College: BAMS at the Core, MD Ayurveda as the Postgraduate Pathway
B.A.M.S. โ Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (Flagship UG Program)
BAMS is the primary undergraduate program at DACHRC, spanning 5.5 years including a compulsory one-year rotatory clinical internship as per NCISM and RGUHS norms. With a batch intake of 100 students, DACHRC runs one of the larger BAMS programs among private Ayurvedic colleges in Karnataka. The curriculum spans 14 UG departments covering all major Ayurvedic disciplines โ from foundational subjects like Rachana Sharir (Anatomy), Kriya Sharir (Physiology), and Samhita Sanskrit & Siddhanta, through clinical departments including Kayachikitsa, Shalya Tantra, Panchakarma, Prasuti Tantra, and Shalakya Tantra. The program structure follows RGUHS guidelines and is divided into four professional years before internship. Total program fee ranges from approximately โน9 Lakhs to โน12 Lakhs depending on quota, subject to annual revision by the Karnataka AYUSH Fee Fixation Committee.
M.D. Ayurveda โ Postgraduate Specialization Programs
DACHRC offers postgraduate MD Ayurveda programs in two specializations: Kayachikitsa (Internal Medicine) and Panchakarma, with 6 seats each. These are 3-year full-time programs admitting candidates through AIAPGET (All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test) or Karnataka state PG AYUSH entrance conducted through KEA. MD Kayachikitsa is the most broadly applicable PG specialization in Ayurveda, covering the full scope of internal medicine within the classical framework, while MD Panchakarma trains specialists in therapeutic detoxification and rejuvenation procedures โ a rapidly growing career pathway given the global expansion of Ayurvedic wellness and integrative medicine. DACHRC's choice of these two particular specializations reflects both clinical demand in the region and the institution's existing infrastructure strengths in its 140-bed hospital and dedicated Panchakarma unit.
