Dr. Chandramma Dayananda Sagar Institute of Medical Education & Research (CDSIMER) is a private medical college established in 2020 under the aegis of Dayananda Sagar University (DSU) — a deemed private university created by an Act of the Karnataka State Legislature in 2014 and a proud member of the Dayananda Sagar Institutions (DSI) family, founded in the 1960s by the visionary Late Sri Dayananda Sagar. CDSIMER is named in loving memory of Late Dr. Chandramma Sagar and Late Sri R. Dayananda Sagar, and was initiated by their sons Dr. D. Hemachandra Sagar and Dr. D. Premachandra Sagar. The college is approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC) for 150 MBBS seats and offers postgraduate (MD/MS) and PhD programmes. Spread across a sprawling 140-acre campus in Harohalli on the Kanakapura Road, Bengaluru — approximately 43 km from Kempegowda International Airport (BLR) — the campus features hi-tech lecture theatres with smart technology, fully equipped departmental laboratories, a central library with Indian and foreign journals, dedicated skill labs, a digital library, sports stadiums, a vibrant auditorium, separate hostels for boys and girls, on-campus banks and ATMs, canteen facilities, and extensive parking.
