Dr. Laxmi Narayan Pandey Government Medical College, Ratlam (popularly known as GMC Ratlam) is a leading government medical institution in western Madhya Pradesh, established in 2018 and named in honour of the late Dr. Laxmi Narayan Pandey. Affiliated with Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University (MPMSU), Jabalpur, and approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC), GMC Ratlam is one of the largest new government medical colleges in MP, admitting 180 MBBS students per year and offering 36 MD/MS postgraduate seats across 14 specialties. The 45-acre campus on Sailana Road features smart classrooms with advanced audio-visual aids, fully equipped clinical labs and departmental museums, a digital library with internet resources, and separate hostels for boys and girls with annual fees of approximately ₹12,000. The teaching hospital combines 600 beds in the upgraded attached district hospital and 750 beds in the newly constructed Medical College Hospital — totalling 1,350 teaching beds — one of the highest among new MP government medical colleges. GMC Ratlam has one of the largest teaching hospital setups among new MP medical colleges: 600 beds in the attached District Hospital Ratlam + 750 beds in the newly constructed Medical College Hospital = 1,350 total teaching beds. Government Medical College, Ratlam was established in 2018 by the Government of Madhya Pradesh. It is named Dr. Laxmi Narayan Pandey Government Medical College, Ratlam, in honour of the late Dr. Laxmi Narayan Pandey. It is affiliated with MPMSU Jabalpur and recognised by NMC.

GMC Ratlam offers 180 MBBS seats per year — the highest intake among the new batch of MP government medical colleges. Of these, 27 are under AIQ (via MCC) and 153 under MP State Quota (via DME MP).

The annual MBBS tuition fee is approximately ₹1,15,000–₹1,16,000 per year for government quota students. The total for 4.5 years is approximately ₹5.17–5.22 lakh. Hostel annual fee is approximately ₹12,000 (inclusive of mess). No management or NRI quota seats exist.
