Employees State Insurance Corporation Medical College, Gulbarga (also known as ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Kalaburagi) is a centrally funded government medical institution established in 2013 under the administrative control of the Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), a statutory body under the Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India (ESI Act No. 34 of 1948). It is one of the 20 ESIC Medical Colleges nationwide and is the second ESIC Medical College in Karnataka after ESIC Medical College, Bengaluru (est. 2012). The ESIC Complex, Gulbarga was formally inaugurated on 01 February 2014 by Mrs. Sonia Gandhi, then UPA Chairperson. The complex is situated within the sprawling Gulbarga University Campus on Sedam Road and is spread over 50.26 acres in a serene, pollution-free environment on the outskirts of Kalaburagi city in North Karnataka. The complex uniquely houses a Medical College, Hospital, Dental College & Nursing College — all under one roof — along with a world-class air-conditioned amphitheatre (2,000-seat capacity), PRB Building, separate hostels for boys and girls, residential quarters (Type I–VI), community centre, and playground. The college is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bengaluru and approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC). It started admissions with 100 MBBS seats in 2013-14, expanded to 125, and currently admits 150 MBBS students annually. The college has 279 faculty members and a student count of 499+. The attached ESIC Hospital, Gulbarga is a 630+ bedded (originally 470 beds, currently sanctioned for 630 beds) multi-specialty tertiary care teaching hospital equipped with 10 Operation Theatres (4 modular German OT machines + 6 modular OTs), ICU, MICU, NICU, PICU, SICU, Blood Bank, CT Scan, Ultrasound, X-Ray machines, centralized laboratories, and a centralized pharmacy. The hospital serves the Hyderabad-Karnataka region catering to both ESIC-insured persons (IP beneficiaries) and the general public. The campus is approximately 9.4 km from Kalaburagi Airport (KLB) and 6.8 km from Gulbarga Railway Station.

Comfortable and well furnished independent hostel wings for boys and girls with all the amenities is provided to the students at the ESICMC Kalaburagi Campus.
