ESIC Medical College, Naroda-Bapunagar, Ahmedabad received its Letter of Permission (LOP) from the National Medical Commission (NMC) in early 2025 for 100 MBBS seats, commencing from the academic year 2025-26. It is Gujarat's 41st medical college. The approval followed the Gujarat government issuing an Essentiality Certificate (EC) to the 420-bed ESIC Hospital, Naroda, and the Union Ministry of Labour and Employment approving the required infrastructure and staff appointments.
