GMERS Medical College and Hospital, Vadnagar, Mehsana is a distinguished government-society medical institution established in 2017 under the Gujarat Medical Education and Research Society (GMERS), managed by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Gujarat. The college received its Letter of Permission (LOP) from the Medical Council of India (now NMC) on 31st May 2017, and admitted its inaugural batch of 150 MBBS students in the 2017-18 academic year. In 2019, the MBBS intake was expanded to 200 seats. The college is affiliated with Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University (HNGU), Patan — a prominent university of North Gujarat — and is recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC). Notably, GMERS Vadnagar has been accredited with an 'A' grade by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) and also participates in the NIRF ranking framework, with a dedicated NIRF section on its official website.
