After completing MBBS and internship, graduates must serve 1 year in rural/government health services in Madhya Pradesh. Non-compliance penalty: ₹10 lakh (General/EWS); ₹5 lakh (SC/ST/OBC). Scholarship holders: 2-year bond with ₹10 lakh penalty.
Government Medical College, Satna was inaugurated on 24 February 2023 in the presence of Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan. It is one of the newest government medical colleges in Madhya Pradesh, affiliated with MPMSU Jabalpur and approved by NMC.
GMC Satna offers 150 MBBS seats per year. Of these, 23 are under All India Quota (AIQ via MCC) and 127 under MP State Quota (via DME Madhya Pradesh). Being a government college, there are no management or NRI quota seats.
