Admission Process at Heritage Business School Kolkata
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline (10+2+3 pattern) from a university recognised by the Association of Indian Universities or AICTE
- Graduates of professional courses such as engineering, medicine or law from a recognised university are also eligible
- Final-year graduation students may apply, provided they complete all examination formalities and submit proof of eligibility within the time set by the school
- A valid MAT or WBJEMAT score; CAT, XAT and CMAT scores are also considered
Step-by-Step Admission Process
- Appear for MAT or WBJEMAT, or obtain a valid score in an accepted national-level management test
- Register and fill in the online application form on the admission portal of the school
- Pay the application fee as notified in the admission brochure
- Get shortlisted on the basis of the entrance score
- Attend the group discussion and personal interview held at the campus in Kolkata
- Receive the offer letter, confirm the seat and pay the first-semester fee

In the final selection, the past academic record of a candidate and any work experience are given weight along with the entrance score and interview performance. Candidates are advised to prepare for the group discussion by reading current business news, and for the interview by revising their graduation subjects and being clear about why they want to pursue an MBA and their chosen specialisation.
Fee Payable at Admission
The first semester is the costliest instalment because it includes one-time charges. A candidate who accepts the seat pays Rs. 2,76,100 for the first semester, made up of tuition of Rs. 1,60,000, a non-refundable admission fee of Rs. 40,000, a development fee of Rs. 20,000, a library fee of Rs. 5,000, a personality development fee of Rs. 20,000 and a university development fee of Rs. 1,100, plus a refundable caution deposit of Rs. 30,000. Each of the remaining three semesters costs Rs. 2,05,000.
