IIIT Surat has MoUs with ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation), MediaTek Inc. (Taiwan), ITMO University (Russia), and Bosch Global Software Technology. Industry founding partners include GNFC (Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilisers & Chemicals), GIL (Gujarat Informatics Limited), and GGL (Gujarat Gas Limited). These partnerships support joint research, internships, industry-sponsored projects, and curriculum development in areas like AI, IoT, wireless networks, and VLSI.

In JoSAA 2025 Round 6 (final round), the General category (Gender-Neutral, All India) closing ranks were: CSE – 28,707 (opening 15,922); CSE with AI & ML – 26,485 (opening 15,801); CSE with Cyber Security – 29,537 (opening 14,749); ECE – 36,049 (opening 19,732). Cutoffs vary by category (OBC-NCL, SC, ST, EWS) and change yearly based on JEE Main difficulty and applicant pool.

IIIT Surat is located at Kholvad Campus, Kamrej, Surat, Gujarat – 394190. Since September 2022, the institute operates from its own 28.71-acre permanent campus near National Highway 48 (Mumbai–New Delhi). The campus is 15 km from Surat Railway Station and approximately 32 km from Surat Airport. The campus has modern classrooms with audio-visual aids, smart laboratories (AI/ML, IoT, HPC, Robotics), a library, separate hostels for boys and girls, a medical centre, and indoor and outdoor sports facilities.
