IIM Kozhikode secured the third position among all management institutes in the NIRF 2025 rankings, the third consecutive year in the top three after 2023 and 2024. Rankings and Accreditations of IIM Kozhikode Kochi Campus

Programme-Specific Rankings

The Executive Post Graduate Programme at the Kochi Campus made its debut at rank 53 globally and fifth in the Asia Pacific region in the QS Online MBA Rankings 2026, according to the institute. Other programmes of IIM Kozhikode that are listed on the official website include the flagship PGP at rank 69 in the Financial Times Masters in Management Ranking 2025 and the PGP in Business Leadership at rank 86 in the Financial Times Global MBA Ranking 2025. These belong to the programmes at the main campus.

Accreditations

IIM Kozhikode was the first IIM to be accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA), in 2010, and has been re-accredited in 2015, 2020 and 2023. The programmes that are currently AMBA accredited include the PGP, PGP-BL, PGP-Finance, PGP-LSM, the EPGP in interactive learning mode and the EPGP at the Kochi campus. The institute received EQUIS accreditation from EFMD in 2021 and was re-accredited in 2024 for five years. IIMK has been an educational member of AACSB since January 2019, and it submitted its third progress report in December 2025, so it is not yet AACSB accredited.

Statutory Status

IIM Kozhikode is an autonomous public institute established by the Government of India in collaboration with the Government of Kerala and functions under the Ministry of Education. It is one of the Indian Institutes of Management, and the degrees and diplomas of the Kochi programmes are awarded by IIM Kozhikode. Students who plan to study abroad or to join the government sector can therefore treat the qualification as an IIM qualification.

A ranking should be used as one factor among many when choosing a programme. The BMS is a new undergraduate programme that started in 2025, and no ranking has yet been published for it.
