B.Tech admission at IIT Bhubaneswar is based on the JEE Advanced rank via JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) counselling. Candidates must first clear JEE Main, then appear for JEE Advanced. Class 12 eligibility requires minimum 75% marks (65% for SC/ST/PwD) or being within the top 20 percentile of the respective board. The 2025 General category CSE closing rank was 4162.

The B.Tech tuition fee at IIT Bhubaneswar is INR 1,00,000 per semester for General/OBC/EWS students with family income above INR 5 lakh.
