Yes. All UG students at IIT Hyderabad are expected to stay in hostels. IITH hostels have a distinctive architectural design resembling modern dwellings rather than conventional student accommodation, with individual rooms and modern amenities. Hostel charges amount to INR 16,000 per semester. The Student Gymkhana oversees all aspects of campus and hostel life.

The tuition fee for B.Tech at IITH is INR 1,00,000 per semester for General/EWS/OBC students. Total semester charges including hostel (INR 16,000), mess (INR 15,470), allied charges (INR 13,500), and student welfare fund (INR 1,000) amount to approximately INR 1,45,970. A one-time joining fee of INR 19,000 is paid at first-semester registration. SC/ST/PwD students receive a full tuition fee waiver. Students with income below INR 1 lakh also receive a full waiver; those with income between INR 1–5 lakh receive a 2/3rd tuition waiver.
