2/3rd Tuition Fee Remission (Income INR 1–5 LPA)

Students with annual family income between INR 1 Lakh and INR 5 Lakhs per annum

Two-thirds of annual tuition fee waived. Effective annual academic fee ~INR 1.26 Lakhs for B.Tech.
Merit-cum-Means (MCM) Scholarship

Top 25% of B.Tech batch academically; family income below INR 4.5 Lakhs; reviewed annually

INR 1,000 per month + possible partial fee support (MHRD-funded).
Government of India Post-Matric Scholarship (SC/ST)

SC/ST students enrolled in AICTE-approved programmes; apply via National Scholarship Portal

DST-INSPIRE Fellowship

PhD students qualifying under DST INSPIRE scheme — top 1% of 10+2 board results or national-level exam qualified

GATE Teaching Assistantship (M.Tech / PhD)

GATE-qualified M.Tech students and GATE-qualified PhD scholars admitted at IIT Ropar

INR 12,400/month for M.Tech (2 years); INR 31,000–35,000/month (JRF/SRF) for PhD scholars.
100% Tuition Fee Remission (Income < INR 1 LPA)

Students with annual family income below INR 1 Lakh per annum (General/OBC/EWS category)

Full tuition fee remission.
Punjab State Scholarship for Minority Students

Minority community students from Punjab (Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Buddhist, Jain, Parsi) with annual family income below INR 6 Lakhs
